November 1, 2010 Holiday – All Saints’ Day

All Saints’ Day is a holiday of the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches. On this day churches glorify God for all God’s saints, known and unknown. The origin of the holiday lies in the common commemorations of martyrs who died in groups or whose names were unknown, later these celebrations came to include not only the martyrs but all saints.
