November 2, 2010 Holiday – All Soul’s Day

All Soul’s Day is a Roman Catholic holiday of remembrance for passed away friends and loved ones. This tradition comes from the old Pagan Festival of the Dead, which celebrated the Pagan belief that the souls of the dead would return for the last meal with their family. On All Soul’s Day Children would come from house to house, asking for food to be offered symbolically to the dead, then donated to feed the hungry.
