April 27, 2011 Holiday – Administrative Professional’s Day

Administrative Professional’s Day also known as Secretary’s Day is a US holiday also celebrated in Canada on April, 27 2011. On this day the work of secretaries, assistants, receptionists , and other administrative support professionals is recognised and stimulated by small gifts like flowers, chocolate and gourmet gift baskets.  The holiday was created in 1952 in New York by a publicist Harry F. Klemfuss who wanted to encourage more people to work in the administrative support field.
