April 29, 2011 Holiday – Showa Day in Japan

Showa Day is national holiday in Japan held annually on April, 29 which commemorates the birth date of Emperor  Hirohito who reined during and after World War II. Showa Day is a part of the Golden Week in Japan that includes other important holidays such as the Constitution Day (May 3), Greenery Day (May 4), and Children’s Day (May 5).
