May 25, 2011 Holiday – Independence Day in Jordan

Independence Day in Jordan is observed on May, 25 since 1946, the date when Jordan gained its independence with the ending of the British Mandate over the country. King Abdullah I established the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and became the constitutional monarch.
