July 14, 2011 Holiday – Bastille Day in France

Bastille Day is a national holiday observed on the 14th of July in France. It marks the anniversary of storming of the Bastille that began the Revolution in France in 1789. Numerous festivities and ceremonies are held in the country on this day, such as spectacular firework displays, musical performances, and the largest air and military parade in the capital of France.
