July 25, 2011 Holiday – Constitution Day in Puerto Rico

Constitution Day is a public holiday in Puerto Rico which commemorates the day when the country became the commonwealth of the US and adopted its new constitution on July 25, 1952. Constitution Day is celebrated throughout the island with parades, parties, and fireworks.
