September 21, 2011 Holiday – Independence Day in Armenia

Independence Day is a public national holiday in Armenia which commemorates the day when the country got its independence from Soviet Union after its collapse on September, 21 1991. This year Armenia celebrates the 20th anniversary of freedom which will be celebrated with big pomp across the country. Festivities will include numerous events such as a big military parade, concerts, exhibitions, firework displays.
