July 4, 2013 Holiday – Independence Day in USA

Independence Day is a widely observed National holiday of the United States of America. It celebrates the beginning of the country we know today when The Thirteen Colonies rebelled against the tyranny of England and declared their liberty in 1776.

The Declaration of Independence was the first time in history when a nation had been founded on the principal that all people are equal. Later several other countries including Greece, Russia, Poland, etc, used the Declaration of Independence as a guide in their own fight for freedom.

Today, most Americans have the day off work and celebrate the 4th of July with their family and friends by grilling out, having pool parties and picnics, visiting parades and watching beautiful firework displays light up the night sky.
